Dr F recently rebuilt my 2021 F-150s 10R80 after it started to have hard and delayed shifts at 110k. It can be difficult to decide on a shop to do your work as there are many that do not have the knowledge it takes to properly rebuild such an intricate complex transmission and typically just swap it out. After reading his philosophy on transmissions I knew this was someone who I should go see. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the work he did on my truck. He took what some describe as an unreliable Ford/GM transmission and updated it with the best innovations that are available into what I believe will be a very reliable unit. During the warranty period he will follow up with his specified service interval of it to ensure it is breaking in normally at no additional cost, that alone speaks volumes of his level of care he gives his rebuilds. As far as cost ,this is a case of you get what you pay for, if you want a reliable transmission built by a expert ,who knows how to do it the right way, this is the shop you should go to.

can’t recommend Dr. Fred’s Transmissions in Spring, Texas highly enough! I recently had my transmission rebuilt, and from start to finish they treated me with honesty, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Their price came in well below what other reputable shops quoted me, but the quality of the work never reflected a “budget” job. They truly stand behind what they do. The rebuild ended up taking a little longer than originally expected because of some unforeseen issues. Instead of making excuses or charging me more, they did exactly the opposite. They honored the original price, never asked for another dime, and took the time to make sure everything was done right. To make up for the delay, they went above and beyond by extending my warranty beyond what they already offered and even gave me a free voucher for my first transmission service at one year. That level of integrity and customer care is hard to find these days.
